Dodie Clark Appreciation Post and 'Thank You Dodie'

So, slightly different post today, but you all know how soppy I am, soooooooooooooooo, what else could you expect really?

Today, I'm writing about a person, I've written about people before which you can read here *plug, plug, plug*, but today's post is somewhat different.

I don't really care if some adults *or my parents* laugh at me for writing this, because it clearly means they haven't read it in its entirety.

I want to write about Dodie. Dodie is a YouTuber, who writes amazing songs and does amazing covers on her main channel, doddleoddle, and has a second channel, doddlevloggle, where she talks about so many important things, as well as does covers etc etc etc - and that's the channel I'm going to use as the focal point for this post (mainly because all you have to do is watch her 'doddleoddle' videos to see how amazing she is).

So, hello

Hey guys, so I haven't blogged in a really long time and I am so sorry about that. I thought I'd just write a little post for today as kind of an explanation I guess, so get ready for some rambling!

So one reason why I haven't really blogged in a while is that I kind of felt that I wasn't really blogging for myself anymore. I'd received emails from companies and other blogs asking me to write for them etc etc, and stupid Charlotte over here who still gets excited about every email she receives, said yes to basically all of them. This led to me thinking that my blog had turned into more of a promotional tool for other people, rather than a hobby for myself. One thing I have learnt from this is, don't say yes to everything, it doesn't always turn out as great as planned.

Another reason for me not blogging as much is because I'd been going to a holiday club and the first week of that, especially, had some really deep conversations involved, which honestly, didn't do me the world of good. After these conversations, I'd gotten back into that part of the circle that involved no motivation to doing anything really.

I also haven't been on my social media accounts as much, or taking any photos - meaning everything has been pretty bare. But all that is hopefully about to change. I've started planning out blog post ideas for the next few months and even begun writing a few of them. I think I'm more excited about blogging now as it there is always more to write about in Autumn, and a lot of fun things too.

The last thing I wanted to chat to you about today is my new YouTube channel. I made it about 2 weeks ago, mainly because of the last few months. One of my biggest fears and worries of late has been forgetting things. That, and growing up, are my two of my biggest fears. So I made a channel as if to have a real visual representation of my life, that I can look back on in the future. This is why my most recent video has been with my lovely Auntie. We decided to do some baking as it was something I loved doing with her when I was younger. If you'd like to watch it, you can click here!
As well as blog post planning, I've been video planning too, which is quite exciting, for me anyway.

I really want to get back into blogging and I'm really excited to have a metaphorical "fresh start", thank you for reading.

Parle bientot et Je t'aime,
Charlotte <3
