Growing In My Faith - Guest Post by Guilianna // MHP

Hey everyone! So you may know about My Happiness Project, which I started in mid-May this year, when my thoughts started getting the better of me and I started feeling depressed a lot of the time. My Happiness Project is where I can write posts when I'm feeling down about topics that make me happy or sometimes even the topics that make me sad.
So, I've decided to make MHP into a guest post project, as well as my own posts - that way, you lovely people will get a bigger range of topics and ideas from other bloggers and people!
If you'd like to write for MHP, then you can click here where you can then contact me and we can discuss whatever you'd like to write! You can be a blogger to write, but you don't have to be - MHP is open to everyone!
Also, once you have written for MHP, I have made a badge that you can put on your blog (if you like), which you can then link to the post you wrote!

To start of the guest posts of MHP, the lovely Guilianna will be talking about how her faith keeps her happy!

People Who Make Me Happy // MHP

Hey everyone. Today I'm going to be writing a list of all/some of the people who make me happy and why. I've been feeling a bit down again recently, so a MHP post is definitely in order! If you read my post yesterday, then you may know that I planned on writing a post about how I donated my hair, today, but I haven't actually sent it off yet and I don't really have the "motivation" to do that today - sorry x

Alas! I am here and I'm going to be talking to you about some of my favourite people today and why they make me smile. These are in no particular order by the way x

Dear David Cameron // Collab

This post today is going to be a little different, as it is going to be aimed at the past PM of the UK, David Cameron! Although, him swapping with Theresa May today didn't exactly help the 2 month plan of this post, but still!! I'm not really going to edit it that much as I pre-write this a week or two ago. My amazing friend Jade and I got into quite the heated discussion a few weeks back, about everything that we find completely and entirely unfair in society and especially our country today. So be sure to go and visit Jade over on her [bloody fantastic] blog, Simply Jadey, where she is also writing a letter to David Cameron. I hope you like our posts and that you hopefully agree with us!}

Summer Fashion Wishlist 2016 // Collab

Today my chickens, I am going to be sharing what fashion pieces are on my wish list this summer! But first, this is a collab with the lovely Amy from Amy's Life, so you should definitely go and check out her blog and her post, where she'll be sharing what she is hoping for this Summer! Let's get started!

Denim Dungarees - New Look

I've wanted denim dungarees for sooooooo long! I especially love these one's from New Look. I'd love to own dungarees as they are so simple yet they look so cute, they are easy to throw on in Summer and they can be styled sooo easily!
Bomber jackets have been around a lot recently and I love them! You can style them in so many ways and they are a really good item to dress up or dress down an outfit! This one from New Look is one of my favourites that I've seen as I like the shape and style a lot.

Hair Bows/Clips etc. etc. etc.

As you may know, I cut my hair really short recently, which has rendered a majority of my hair bobbles useless. So, I am in need of some cute hair accessories that I'll be able to use to put up the top bit of my hair and to style it. Recently, I've been using this cute little bobble with a bow on and I love it. The clips above are from New Look.
Black Oversized Floppy Hat

This is another item I've been wanting for quite a while and now that Summer is upon us, I have a good reason to get one! I love these as they can be classy and casual, plus they are good for keeping the sun out of your face! Also, hats are supposed to work well with short hair - so that's a positive for me!
So that's it from me! Be sure to check out Amy's post! Let me know what's on your summer fashion wish list below!

Motivational Quotes // Collab

Bonjour mes petits crossiants!

I don't know what that was, I'm sorry - anyway! Hey everyone! How've you been? I know its only been about 3 days since my last blog post, but it feels like quite a while! Today, I am going to be writing another blog post for My Happiness Project and its a collab! That's right lovelies, today I'm writing a collab with the lovely Olivia from Olivia Alesha! And we are going to be sharing some quotes that we find motivational and inspiring!

*Cheeky Segway approaching!*

Speaking of My Happiness Project, if you'd like to 'join in' I guess, then you can follow my Pinterest board here where I pin quotes, photos and other cute stuff that makes me feel a bit better!

*Back to the blog post!*

The first quote that I'd like to share with you is from the Disney movie 'Pocahontas'. I have edited the words a little so that it makes more sense, but you'll get the idea. This quote is a quite an influential one for me and I'll tell you why. *Storytime!* As you may know, I haven't been having the best time recently and I went to talk to my headmistress about it and she was quite rude to be honest. I told her about how a lot of the recent world events had shook me a bit and it sort of made me lose a lot of faith in humanity and that I just wanted to give up. But I also said that I wanted to do something about it, I wanted, I WANT to help them, I'm not so sure how yet, but I will. But she said that I shouldn't worry about it because "there's nothing I can do about it", that upset me a lot. But I knew, I KNOW that there are things I can do to help them, I just didn't know how quite then, but the fact that the person who is supposed to make me believe in myself and doing what I know is right, told me that I couldn't do anything because it hadn't affected me really got to me a lot.
After that day at school I went to my lovely friend's house and we watched Pocahontas. There's a quote in there that I love, it goes:

I love this one so much because it gives me a bit of hope. Its like, even though I'm such a tiny part of the world, I can still make the ripple, and it'll grow, I just have to give it time.

Next up is one I found on Pinterest! *Bloomin' love Pinterest*. I think the person who said it was Jack Kerouac and I love this one because its a nice reminder for me to go out and make the memories and the differences that I want to make and there's nothing or nobody that can stop me from doing so. I like this as it motivates me to do a lot of the stuff I was to scared or worried about doing.

For my final quote, I am going to be sharing another quote that I found on Pinterest and I really like this one because if I'm struggling to do something or its taking me ages or something like that, I remember this and it helps me remember that it doesn't matter how long it takes me, because I'm still making progress and I'm still doing well.

That's it for today my lovelies! Be sure to check out Olivia's  post and her amazing blog! Leave one of your motivational quotes for me below! I could do with some more! Also, when I'm writing this, I hit 100 bloglovin followers today! So a massive thank you to all you beautiful people! Anyway,

Dear Miss // A Letter To My Headteacher

{Bonjour! Just a quick note to explain the post: This is an open letter to my head teacher for reasons that you will understand in the letter. I hope you like it!}

Dear Miss,
              I am writing this because you didn't let me say it in our meeting. I hope you think about what I am about to say. Enjoy!

Firstly, you told me in our meeting that I wouldn't be able to help anyone other than locally because nothing "bad" has happened to me. Why shouldn't I be able to make a difference anyway? Why can't I help the children in Syria even though I'm not there? Why can't I share my views on terrorism even though none of the attacks were near me? Why can't I do something to help people by being the way I am? Why don't you think I could do it? Why don't you think that I can help people? Why don't you believe in me?

The evening after our meeting, I went to my amazing friend Angel's house because she knew I could do with being cheered up. We watched the Disney film 'Pocahontas'. In that film, there is a part where Grandmother Willow (a tree) is talking to Pocahontas and she talks to her about the ripples in the river. She said, "look at the ripples. They're so small at first, but they grow. All they needed was someone to start them". This is my favourite quote because it applies to what you told me a week or two ago. The ripples need to be started in order to make a difference, I am going to start them. And I already have.

After our meeting, I knew I wanted to do something. So I did. I've been talking about donating my hair for months now and I finally did it. I got home yesterday, and I did it. I washed my hair so it was nice and clean, let it air dry and then separated it into 6 sections and my mum cut it. At the minute, the 6 bunches are in my kitchen, but soon, they'll [hopefully] be on the head of an alopecia sufferer. Because I wanted to make a difference, so I did. I got my hair cut and I'm sending it off to a charity that makes wigs for alopecia sufferers, because I wanted to make a difference to one person, even if I never meet them or know them. The place I'm sending it, often buy the hair off you, so if that is the case, I'll be sending all of that money to an alopecia charity - because then I can hopefully help more people. I made a difference - I proved you wrong.

But I'm not going to stop there, oh no. I have a lot more planned out in my head, you just don't know about it yet. You may think I'm angry and/or upset at you, but I'm not. Nope. Not anymore. Yeah, the word 'bitch' did come into conversations that featured you, but I needed you to say those things to me. I needed you to interrogate me with questions. I needed you to doubt me. I needed you to tell me no. I needed you to upset me. Because you made me stronger. You made me believe in myself. You made me remind myself of the passion I have fizzling inside me to do something. You made me create an opportunity for myself and for someone else. You made me determined to make a difference, and you made me determined to prove you wrong. And I did. I proved you wrong. But I'm not mad anymore, I'm grateful.

I hope I'll be able to achieve more and better things in the future, thank you Miss,

{I plan on writing a post about my hair donation soon, so let me know if you'd like for me to do that! Parle bientot et Je t'aime, Charlotte <3 }
