Summer Music Playlist 2016 // Collab

I've been feeling in a very 'summery' mood lately, what with the exams being over for the year and that. So today I'm going to share the music I'll be listening to this Summer! But before I get started......

This is a collab with the lovely Courtney from Courtney's Beauty Box who will be sharing some of her favourites for this season with you over on her blog, so be sure to go and give her a visit!

I'm not really going to explain why I like these songs as I have a funny feeling that it might get a little bit repetitive so I'll just list them. Starlight Blogger Award (x3) // May 2016

Today ma beautiful people, I am going to be doing the 'Starlight Blogger Award'! I honestly didn't know this existed before I was nominated! I was nominated by three absolutely lovely people, Laura from Blossom Of Hope, Erin from Everything Erin and Izzy from The Pastel Style! So that means you get three times the questions and three times the answers, aren't you lucky!?!

But first..... ZEE RULES!
You need to thank and link back to your nominator, answer the 3 questions, give three questions for your nominees to answer, nominate 6 other bloggers, notify the nominees, post the rules, add the badge/image (like the one below).

I was nominated by Laura from Blossom Of Hope first, so its only fair to answer her questions first, is it not?

Numero Uno!

What is your favourite thing to do in your spare time?

I assume by 'spare time' that means everything apart from school? I love dancing, I do a pantomime a few months of the year which I really enjoy and obviously blogging and all that comes with it! But other than the clubs, I like scrolling on Pinterest, singing to myself in my bedroom *I mean, who doesn't?* and baking! Also, I have started to learn the ukulele, so we'll see how that goes!

Numero Dos!

What is your best achievement?
I don't really have a 'big' achievement but I am quite proud of a few small ones, such as:
Distinction in Grade 4 Dance
Silver Medal In Dance (and all the rosettes, pins and medals before that)
100% Percent Attendance In Year 7 and so far this year *yep, commitment*
1000 Instagram Followers
Getting a Head Teacher's Commendation for My Assembly on Gender Equality
and a few other little ones!
Numero Trois!
Where do you want to travel to?

It is on my bucket list to step foot in every single country on the planet, but due to world problems, I'm scared that won't happen. But I'd really like to go travelling across Europe and visit America. Ooh also, my friend is from The Philippines and she has told me so much about it and I have seen photos from there and I'd really like to go one day!

So that's all of Laura's questions, be sure to go and check out her lovely blog!
Next up is Erin from Everything Erin's questions!
If you could travel to one place, where would you go?
*see question above*
Who is your role model?
My role model is Malala. This might be quite an unexpected answer for someone of my age but I love everything Malala does for others and I completely agree with everything she stands for. She has inspired me to want to make a difference in the world, to at least get more people into education and to protest for gender equality.
I know I have already written the following on here twice, but it won't harm you to read it again would it? And if you haven't read it, you may understand why I idolise Malala.
  •  Its because of Malala that I became a feminist *and I would be more than happy if you were one as well*
  • Its because of Malala that I know more about the world and the terrible things that happen, that before, I couldn't even begin to imagine
  • Its because of Malala that I now know that being a girl doesn't mean you are weak, or stupid, or here, on Earth, to please others
  • Its because of Malala I have learnt that it is okay to be myself and not pretend to live as someone else to get attention
  • Its because of Malala that I am grateful for my education
  • Its because of Malala that I realise how lucky I am

What songs have you been loving lately?
I actually have a blog post coming on this in about a fortnight so I won't go into too much detail but I'll put my top 3:
Take Me Home // Jess Glynne
Lost Boy // Ruth B
Work From Home // Fifth Harmony

So that's it for Erin's questions! Be sure to go and check out her amazing blog!
And finally, Izzy from The Pastel Style's questions!
If you could ever change something you have done in the past, what would you change and why?
I'm not sure. Maybe not documenting everything I've done sooner? Because I'm most likely going to forget a lot of what I did as a child and I wish I could change that.
If you could create a perfume, what would it smell like and what would you put inside it?
It might sound a bit odd but maybe the smell of my mum's baking. You can already buy beauty products that smell like cake (Soap and Glory's Rich and Foamous), so it might not be that weird. I think this would be nice ish if had a bit of vanilla to it, then it might smelly 'homely' and........ I have absolutely no idea.
What is your number one brand that you would like to work with in the future?
Erm, I'd really like to work with a few brands, so maybe ones like Daisy Mae Jewellery, a watch company (Mint Coast maybe), Trestique (make up brand), Flamingo Candles, w7 Make Up, Coconut Lane or cute little jewellery brands, as I follow them on Instagram and I think all their products look amazing!

My Nominees :

My Questions :
Where do you find blog post ideas?
What is your favourite thing about blogging?
What are you most excited for the Summer?
So that's it from me! If you do this tag, send me a link so I can read it! I hope you all have a great week! I have a collab coming this Sunday so keep your eyes open for that!

After School Routine // Collab

How's life been treating you? I'm sorry for not posting as much recently, I'm just in the need of a bit of a break at the minute, but I have lots of exciting posts coming up soon!

As you may have read in the title, this post is a collab! The lovely Daisy Petals and I am going to be writing our after school routines for you today! So be sure to check out her post and her amazing blog!

After school, I get the bus home, which usually takes 20 minutes, so I get back home at about quarter past four. By this time, I have either already taken my out down, or I am just about to, as I have to have it up for school which I don't like as it gives me a headache. Then I'll go and find a drink or a snack to have while I do my homework and I'll take it upstairs.

Next, I'll dump my backpack on the floor near my desk and flop onto my bed face first because I need to give my brain a break. Then, once by brain has had time to calm down for a minute, I'll get up and change out of my uniform into something far more comfortable, depending on the season I will wear different things, but its always some form of pjs. At the minute when I get home from school, I usually put on some shorts and my big and cosy grey jumper from New Look which has 'Stockholm, Berlin, Copenhagen' on it. My hair is very wavy/curly naturally, but sometimes it looks a bit flat after having tied back all day, so a lot of the time I will put it in braids (that I will sleep in as well) to try and get some wave back.

Once I have gotten somewhat comfier, I will make a mental note of everything I have to do that night and decide what to do first. I will have homework to do, so I try and decide in what order to do those. But before I start my homework, I will put on some music, it would either be Dodie Clark's playlist of all her original songs, the 'Revision Ballads' playlist on Spotify or my 'My Music' playlist on Spotify (which has all my favourite songs on). After I have my music set up, I will start on my homework and try and get as much done as I can before tea.

Once I have had tea, I will sometimes have some more homework to do, so I will get that done so its out of the way. After that boring stuff, I like to *or at least try to* have a little bit of 'me time' if you will. So I will go on zee YouTube and Instagram and Twitter and Snapchat and Pinterest *slightly obsessed*. If I have enough time, I will try and get some bloggy stuff in before my eyes begin to close by themselves, then I'll pack my bag, change my jumper for a t-shirt of some kind, clean my teeth and go to bed.

So that's it! I hope you have got some sort idea from this about my life a bit, but I think that my 'routine' may be similar to a few of yours! Make sure to go and check out Daisy Petals' post!

Also, I don't think I have mentioned it on here yet but last week this little place hit 8000 page views! Which is insane, so thank you so much!
If you do want to keep up to date with me and when I post, you can follow me on Bloglovin' and on my other social media links in the side bar!

How to Learn Vocab // Collab

I'm sorry I haven't been on here much lately, I've been in quite a dark place for quite a while, that I'm still trying to climb out of. I am planning on writing a bit about that soon, but if you would like to know a bit more, you can read some of it here.

Nevertheless! This is a collab with my amazing friend Hope from HighHopes! You definitely need to go and check her out! Today we will both be sharing 3 tips on how to learn vocab each! We thought this would be good as it is exam season *argh* and I know that a lot of you are in school, and might need a few ideas for revision!

1) Duolingo

I only downloaded this app last night, but I really like it! I use this for French and it tracks how well you're doing {I'm already 17% fluent apparently}. There are also little 'mini games' where you match the English to the French, repeat sentences, translate sentences both ways and helps you learn more vocab! As well as that it helps with structure and if you get a question wrong, it comes back at the end and you do it until its right, which helps it stick in your brain better!
I definitely recommend this app, as you could practice anywhere, but I know that there are lots of other apps available, so find one that suits your 'learning style'.

2) Speak it in your day to day life

I know this may sound odd but try it! If you say, "I'm going to school", say it in your head or out loud in the language you're learning! Also, add sticky notes to objects with the French on, and every time you see it, you'll remember it! I like using this a lot, so I definitely recommend you try it!

3) 10 Minutes a Day

Just spend a few minutes a day going over your vocab in your head or out loud! Maybe just before you go to bed or whilst you're on the bus, just try and memorise words! It works quite well, especially if you can really focus whilst you do it, definitely give it a try.

I Hope you liked my ideas and be sure to check out Hope's post for some ideas that are definitely better than mine! Leave one of your top tips for vocab in the comments, I could do with some more!

// SIDE NOTE // {Thank you all so much for 7000 page views! Aaaaaaahh } As always,
