What with Mother's Day in 7 days time, I thought I'd share some cute gift ideas you could make/get your Mum (or Mom) for Mother's Day. Most of these gifts can be adaptable for anyone and any event.
The reason I'm writing this is about 50% for myself, seen as I tend to get my Mum gifts, the day before as I'm extremely unorganised when it comes to gift giving. *Except around Christmas*
I have tried to find ideas that you may not have seen before, but it was a bit difficult. I hope you enjoy this post and let's get started!
Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String, These Are A Few of YOUR Favourite Things!
I made this gift for my friend for her birthday last year, and I think this could be adapted easily to fit anyone! All you have to do is get a brown paper bag or box and fill it with things your person likes. Simple!
In this I added Sherbet (my friend loves it), a Vanilla candle and a framed photo of us and some of our other friends. You could add something like her favourite singer's/band's album, a DVD with her favourite actor/actress in, a photo from the best trip you went on together, her favourite item of make up, a book by her favourite author, for example.
Open When ..... Letters
(This is not my photo)
These are so cute! If someone did these for me, I'd probably cry, ngl. All you need is some envelopes, paper/card and pens! If you don't know, the idea of this is the receiver of this keeps them until the thing on the front has happened, and its supposed to help cheer the up and feel better. You could add things like 'Open When You're Having A Bad Day' 'Open When We've Had An Argument', etc.
Then write a letter on the paper and add it to the envelope. If you wanted to make it even more personal, you could add photos or things that could remind your Mum of something nice you did together.
Reasons I Love You/I Think You're Awesome
(This is not my photo)
I think I might do this for my Mum and include things like:
"Thank you for insulting my clothing choices, so that I don't leave the house looking like a total wombat"
"For pestering me until I do my homework, so that I do well in school"
The list goes on.
I think this would be a really nice gift, because if you're like me, you don't tell your Mum how much you love and appreciate her enough.
