Christmas Cookie Recipe

Bonjour!

Welcome to day 7 of #blogmas2015! School Christmas fayres are on the horizon so I thought I would give you recipe for quick and easy cookies because school fayres are basically cake and cookies.

You Will Need
  • 2oz of Sugar - I used caster sugar
  • 60z of Flour
  • 4oz of Butter
  • Icing Sugar and Water (optional for icing)
  • Decorations (optional for icing)
  • Food colouring (optional for icing)
Utensils
  • A Large Mixing Bowl
  • A Smaller Mixing Bowl
  • Spoons
  • Rolling Pin
  • [Festive] Cookie Cutters
  • Oven
  • Flat Surface
  • Baking Tray(s)
  • Greaseproof Paper
  • Cooling Rack (optional)
Method
  1. Cream the butter and sugar together
  2. Add in the flour and mix
  3. Then roll out your mixture on the flat surface
  4. Cut out the shapes
  5. Add your greaseproof to the tray and place your biscuits on it
  6. Bake your biscuits for 10 minutes at 180oC/Gas Mark 4
  7. Once your biscuits are out of the oven, leave them on the cooling rack until completely cool
  8. Mix your icing sugar, food colouring and a little bit of water until it is at a reasonably thick consistency, and so that it wont fall off your biscuit.
  9. Add your icing to your biscuit and decorate as you wish.
I decided to do Christmas trees, snowmen, baubles and bells * The baubles and bells have already been eaten * If you make some of these, take a photo and Instagram/tweet it and tag me in it.

Joyeux Noel,
Charlotte <3
